Layne Govender

Layne has ten years’ experience in the healthcare industry across various client bases, from corporate to government to individual. She is passionate about healthcare and wellness and feels that when the right systems are in place, it provides peace of mind, allowing one to focus on other meaningful aspects of life. Layne believes in open communication and, most importantly, listening to the client’s needs in order to provide the best solutions.

She completed her Higher Certificate in Wealth Management and RE 5 in 2016. This year she will be pursuing her Advanced Certificate in Wealth Management. Layne says, “I pride myself on client service and satisfaction, and I’m always looking for ways to enhance the client experience.”

In her spare time, Layne enjoys getting stuck into a good book. She loves travelling and has an adventurous side, too; she is always up to trying any adrenaline-filled activities and would love to go skydiving regularly.

Samantha Dorkin

I believe in providing clients with exceptional service. I place myself in my client’s position to get an understanding of type of service I would expect, and how best to manage a situation. This motivates me to go beyond expectations and to build great relationships with my clients.

I am a trustworthy and sociable person. I believe strongly in Chartered’s values and aim to live them out daily in my work and personal life.

My career in the insurance industry started in the Health sector. I then developed my skills and moved into the Employee Benefits sector.

I am looking forward to further growing my expertise through my studies. Currently, I am completing my Certificate in Wealth Management.

I spend my leisure time with my family and friends. I love the outdoors and travelling, meeting new people and socialising. My family is very important to me and motivates me to be the best version of myself.

Simphiwe Mofokeng

Simphiwe believes in connecting with people through rendering solution-driven service; she ensures that Chartered Employee Benefits clients are well informed about their healthcare-related products.

Simphiwe is a Senior Healthcare Consultant at Chartered Employee Benefits. She has a Diploma in Marketing Management through the Institute of Marketing Management, and an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning.

Simphiwe has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, having worked for the largest medical scheme in South Africa in various roles. She started at Chartered Employee Benefits in 2014 as a Healthcare Administrator and prides herself in service excellence.

Simphiwe is a food fanatic and enjoys exploring different culinary experiences, travelling, and hosting gatherings for her family and friends. She also has a soft spot for toy Pomeranians.

Paramesh Dayaram

Health and Wellness are key pillars to a balanced and fulfilling life.

Within the complex Healthcare environment lies the opportunity to provide people with access to private healthcare, which is a necessity. Healthcare benefits predominately provide cover for hospital admissions but also importantly can provide for preventive treatment. Globally, the focus on Wellness has become a priority for companies, as these benefits contribute to healthier people and improved productivity. It is apparent that mental health and lifestyle choices have an impact on physical health.

Paramesh has over a decade of experience in healthcare insurance. His exposure to various stakeholders and a vast array of the product suite in the local and international sectors allows him to provide professional, tailored, and informed advice to clients.

Paramesh is an avid learner who completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning through Milpark Business School. He is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planning designation.

He believes the secret to success lies in the determination and perseverance to realise a goal.

Trevor Neville Taylor

Trevor Taylor is the Managing Director and founder of Chartered Employee Benefits. His two primary roles are to steer the business as well as develop and maintain client relationships. He has been with the company since 2006.

Trevor has a BCom Legal from the University of the Witwatersrand and qualified as a Certified Financial Planner® Professional from the University of the Free State in 2004.

He worked at an international benefits consulting organisation and an institutional and retail investment consulting business over a period of 12 years before joining the Chartered family.

This exposure to the many facets of the employee benefits industry has enabled Trevor to provide the clients of Chartered Employee Benefits with valuable insights on how to structure their benefits.

He has consulted to multinational organisations on how to design and implement international retirement funds and healthcare solutions. In doing so, Trevor has had the opportunity to meet his peers who operate out of international jurisdictions and provide trust, investment and insurance expertise.

Trevor is an entrepreneur who continually strives to provide his clients with the “ultimate” solution that allows members to retire with sufficient means. He was a regular participant in the Comrades Marathon and draws on the discipline and preparation for this event and applies it in his approach to his profession. He now runs shorter distances and plays tennis and golf.
