Merafe Samuel Ramono

Merafe Ramono is a qualified commercial lawyer, having completed his B.A. LL.B at one of South Africa’s premier law schools, the University of Cape Town. His experience covers the insurance, real estate and commercial fields.
He is a Director of Royal Africa Investments, a black economic empowerment company, which is a shareholder in Chartered Employee Benefits. Merafe is also one of the Black Economic Empowerment shareholders in Hudaco Industries Ltd, which is listed in the industrial sector of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
Currently, his primary focus as CEO of Gilgal Mining Supplies, a commodities trading company, is growing its footprint in the international market.
He has written articles on and has been invited to address the topics of procurement, transformation and wildlife conservation at conferences throughout Africa. As part of his duties as a patriotic South African, he facilitates conversations amongst leaders in organisations on the state of transformation in the country.
In his capacity as an elder of his church, the Amazing Grace Seventh-Day Adventist Church, he pursues his passion of responding to the age-old existential question: ‘What is the point to life?’
